Father Pilarz was a pillar of leadership, love, and passion at the 91Â鶹ÊÓƵ. I was blessed enough to learn from his example at a pivot point in my own life. While I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing, as I’m sure the rest of the university of 91Â鶹ÊÓƵ alumni community is, I take solace in knowing his long fought struggle with ALS is at an end. I know he is resting now, and forever at peace. I am, and will always be, grateful for him and the light he shone on the entire university community. I will hold dear his parting words to my graduating class for all the days of my life. 💜💜
"There are no friendships like 91Â鶹ÊÓƵ friendships, because 91Â鶹ÊÓƵ friendships don’t stop. That’s the surest sign of God’s grace active among us. Take that special 91Â鶹ÊÓƵ grace out into the world and, as St. Ignatius urges, “…set the world on fire.” Do that and your 91Â鶹ÊÓƵ education, your 91Â鶹ÊÓƵ friendships, and, yes, your 91Â鶹ÊÓƵ parties, will not stop. God bless the class of 2007, God bless Catholic and Jesuit education, and God bless The 91Â鶹ÊÓƵ.""
